During the three days of the event, the QCA audiovisual production team, made up of a photographer, a videographer, a journalist and the executive assistant, captured the key moments of the conference on film.
From filming to interviews with officials, speakers and participants, nothing was left to chance, demonstrating the versatility and professionalism of everyone involved.
A word from our QCA players in Media Coverage
Our photographer Pierre Arnaud ESSIS stressed the importance of capturing meaningful and evocative images to tell the story of the conference. The job of photographer requires a certain dexterity and an eagle eye to be able to take the right photos at the right time, i.e. to have the right target and the right expression of the photo you want to render on the screen. I’ve taken Henri Cartier Bresson’s quote as essence: “Photography means putting the head, the eye and the heart in the same line of sight.
“Photography is my area of choice”.
Videographer François Xavier stressed the importance of filming memorable moments and being creative with shots to create a certain dynamic when editing.
“As a videographer, you have to be creative and film not for yourself but for consumers. What’s beautiful in your eyes is not necessarily beautiful in everyone’s eyes. So I’m careful to respect all that, obviously it’s all part of the ethics and deontology of the profession, QCA has to produce a ‘professional’ rendering and not a ‘shaky’ one. I’m working on it,” he said.
Emeline NDRI explained that her role as content manager within the agency required both rigour and flexibility in order to deal with unexpected events and emotions. But she also explained that a journalist’s job consists of researching, collecting, processing, cross-checking and disseminating information for interviews, which is a type of external opinion where there is a commitment on the part of the interviewees. To carry it out, I had to document the congress and draw up a detailed and dense questionnaire. I interviewed 4 officials, 22 speakers and more than a dozen participants. This job requires not only rigour
but also emotional control, including getting used to the ups and downs of the event, as everything can suddenly change at the last minute. You always have to have a plan B, C, D…) she said. As for our executive attaché Jacques Alain KIFFOULY, he was on hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly and to lend a helping hand to the team during the various interviews. “I could have stayed at the agency, but I remembered Henry Ford’s quote: getting together is a beginning, staying together is progress, working together is success, and you can see that it was a success, can’t you?
